Our Veterinarians:

Christopher E. Alvey, BS, DVM

Dr. Alvey established BridgeMill Animal Hospital on March 26th, 2004. He grew up in Owensboro, KY He graduated in 1983 from Western Kentucky University with a BS degree in Agriculture. He went on to graduate with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 1988. He owned and operated Cobb Central and Mobile Vet Services from 1988 until 1999. He provided medical and surgical services as a relief veterinarian from 1999 until 2004 when he opened BridgeMill Animal Hospital.

Dr. Alvey resides in Cherokee County with his wife Kathy and his two children Jake & Madison.  He is the proud owner of four dogs (Bogey, Allie, Lu-Lu and LeRoy) and his cats (Cartman and Aubie). 

Dr. Alvey is also a past president of the Canton Optimist Club.

Jonathan Gilvarry, DVM

Dr. Gilvarry is very pleased to have joined the BridgeMill Animal Hospital team in June of 2015. Ever since he was a young boy, Dr. Jonathan had a love for animals and he knew he wanted to be a veterinarian from the age of eight. Dr. Jonathan obtained his veterinary degree from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He practiced veterinary medicine in Florida for 12 years and was the co-owner of a small animal practice in Orlando.

Dr. Jonathan and his wife, Alexis, and their daughter, Allison, moved to Georgia to be closer to family in 2014. They live with their three rescued cats-Fridgie, Daisy, and Oscar. In Dr. Jonathan's spare time, he enjoys helping around the house, following sporting events, and spending time with his family.  

Meghan Martin, DVM

Dr. Martin moved to Woodstock from South Florida in 1995. She knew at a young age that she wanted to work with animals after spending summers on her family's farm in Pa. She worked as a veterinary technician in and around Woodstock since 2001 while attending Reinhardt for her Bachelor of Science in Biology.

She graduated in 2011 from Mississippi State University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in North Georgia ever since. She spends her free time with her daughter Lillian and little farm of her own including dogs, cats, and chickens.
