Dr. Gilvarry is very pleased to have joined the BridgeMill Animal Hospital team in June of 2015. Ever since he was a young boy, Dr. Jonathan had a love for animals and he knew he wanted to be a veterinarian from the age of eight. Dr. Jonathan obtained his veterinary degree from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He practiced veterinary medicine in Florida for 12 years and was the co-owner of a small animal practice in Orlando.

Dr. Jonathan and his wife, Alexis, and their daughter, Allison, moved to Georgia to be closer to family in 2014. They live with their three rescued cats-Fridgie, Daisy, and Oscar. In Dr. Jonathan's spare time, he enjoys helping around the house, following sporting events, and spending time with his family.  

Dr. Jon is certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in CPR:  Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support.
